50 Things That Make Me Happy (Tag)

I was recently nominated by my friend Gabrielle for the ’50 Things That Make You Happy Tag’, so you can go check out her blog, and make sure you read her version of the tag.

I really like this tag, since I enjoy thinking about the things that make me happy. I find that it’s a great way to think more positively and enjoy the little things!

So let’s start:

1. Sunshine.

Overall, I tend to be happier when it’s sunny outside, versus when it’s rainy or cloudy.

2. Waking up early.

I’m naturally a night owl, so waking up early is a struggle for me, but overall, I feel much happier and more productive when I wake up early.

3. Bumblebees.

Bees, specifically fuzzy bumblebees, always make me happy, especially since I have a lot of flora in my yard that attracts them.

For whatever reason, bees often get trapped inside my house, so I have to rescue them a lot during the summer. I love gently putting them on the flowers at the front door, and then watching them fly off.

There’s something so cute about a collection of mismatched mugs!

It just sounds so crisp and powerful.

24. Eating a comfort food that I haven’t had in a long time.

Maybe this has something to do with the nostalgia of it, or maybe it’s just about indulging my senses, but eating a comfort food that I haven’t had in awhile always makes me happy. Maybe that’s why I only like having spaghetti on special occasions?

25. Being able to walk gracefully and confidently.

I grew up as a pretty shy and self-conscious person, so learning how to walk confidently and gracefully has helped me a lot.

There are a couple of TV shows that I watched when I was younger, so much so that I could begin quoting episodes as I watched. Re-watching those shows now is very relaxing.

39. Dandelions.

I know that most people think of dandelions as weeds, but seeing them grow in cracks of pavement and along the sides of country roads is so inspiring. Dandelions are a sign of resilience to me, and they also remind me of when I was a kid and would search for dandelion leaves to feed to my pet rabbit.

  1. Oh, I love dandelions too! There’s something so beautiful about a plant that can grow in the weirdest of places as long as there’s a little bit of dirt. Plus they’re such a bright and lively shade of yellow
