I recently hit 250,000 views on my blog, so to celebrate I decided to do a Q&A! I received some really interesting questions, and I had a lot of fun responding to them.
1. Where are you from?
I’m from Canada! I’ve moved around a lot in my life, but I’ve always lived in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario.
2. How old are you/when is your birthday?
My birthday is right at the start of summer (my Zodiac sign is Cancer), and I’m in my late teens. Sometimes I feel like an adult ready to take on the world, other times I feel like a child, unsure of everything that’s going on. But I suppose all teenagers/young adults feel this way.
3. When did you start blogging? Why?
I started blogging in August of 2017, as I wanted to grow an audience for my writing. At the time, I was really into writing works of fiction and was also considering becoming a professional artist of some sort (I was focusing on concept art), so my blog was a way to share the things I was learning.
My mom was a big inspiration for me to start blogging. She’s been doing it since 2013, and she helped me create my blog. If it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t have started doing it.
I was originally hoping to create an audience with my blog so that I could promote my works of fiction when I was ready to publish them, but writing fiction doesn’t interest me as much anymore. I’m also no longer interested in becoming a professional concept artist, as the hours of work required to do that had started to cause some pain issues in my wrist.
Now my blogging goals are to continue to write about the body types, fashion, and style.
4. Any pets?
Yep! I have 3 pets:
A 3 year old Boston Terrier named Godot. He hates the snow, rain, and cold weather, loves seeing animals on TV, and has a fear of other dogs (when he sees them in real life). We adopted him a day after his first birthday, and he has turned into a cuddle fiend.
A tuxedo cat named Cas, who we’ve had for 4 years. He has a slight obsession with touching water, and goes a bit crazy if he’s locked outside of the bathroom while someone takes a shower or a bath. He doesn’t want to be in the shower or bath, but he does feel a need to supervise.
A fat tabby cat named Dal, who we’ve also had for 4 years (we adopted the cats together). Dal has an obsession with shoes and boots. Sometimes he tries to wear them, other times he just uses shoes as a pillow.
Godot gets along well with the cats, and sometimes he chases Cas around (Cas enjoys this, as Dal is usually too sleepy to chase Cas). Cas and Godot cuddle sometimes, and occasionally Godot will lick Dal’s ears.
5. Favorite book/movie/musician?
This is definitely a tough question for me, as I have difficulty choosing favorites, but here goes:
Musician: Currently I’d have to say Billie Eilish. It’s rare that I like a lot of what an artist releases, but I really enjoy most of her work. The stuff I don’t enjoy is still really good, it just doesn’t resonate with me on a personal level.
Movie: I can’t really narrow it down to just one favorite, so here are four movies that I really love and that have influenced me in some way or another:
- “The Prestige” (the first twist movie I ever watched)
- “The Devil Wears Prada” (always gets me into a fashion/writing/productivity mood)
- “To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before” (sweet, feel-good romantic comedy with amazing aesthetics and outfits)
- “The Breakfast Club” (really resonates with me, it’s a classic)
Book: Again, I can’t really narrow it down to just one favorite, so here are different books that I’ve really enjoyed:
- “Turtles All the Way Down” by John Green (really resonated with my experience of anxiety, though a different kind)
- “Metamorphosis” by David Kibbe (a recent gift from my mom, and I really love it)
- “Hacking Your Education” by Dale J. Stephens (I was homeschooled/unschooled for a lot of my life, so it was a useful book to have)
I know it’s not a book, but I’d also really recommend “What Remains of Edith Finch”, which is more of an interactive novel than a video game. Warning: you will cry.
6. What is a favorite item in your closet?
Right now, it’s definitely my gray plaid pants. They’re made of a soft, pajama-esque material, they have pockets large enough to fit my phone, they’re highwaisted, and they match with several different tops and sweaters in my closet.
It originally came with a matching fabric belt to tie around the waist, but I prefer pairing it with a leather belt for a more polished look.
It’s currently my favorite piece because it’s warm, comfortable, stylish, and I wear it multiple times a week, but my favorite clothing pieces change throughout the year, as I live in an area with really cold winters and hot summers.
7. Do you have a favorite style icon?
Currently, I really love BestDressed (aka Ashley) on YouTube/Instagram. She puts together some really cute and cool outfits, and though we have different body types, I find her outfits really inspiring. Her channel is also part of what inspired me to start blogging about fashion and the body types.
Oh What remains of Edith Finch! I saw a youtuber play it and I loved it. Some of the best plot and storytelling I’ve seen in any form of media. I want to see that playthrough again now!

Yes!! I really love the way that the story unfolds, and I hope that it inspires some more stories told in that medium. 😀

Hahahahaha! Yes, my cat “supervises” all the time too! Mostly while we’re eating. 😉

XD Sometimes when I eat I’ll feel a tap at my shoulder. It’s Cas, reaching up to get my attention (he likes to eat when I do, so I have to get up and feed him)
