Body Type Test Results

As a quick warning, interpreting the results may seem a bit complicated. Don’t worry if you’re not sure about what your results are; if you’re having difficulty interpreting the results just leave a comment with your answers and I’ll do my best to help you out. Or you can book a consultation with me, and I’ll help you figure out your body type.

Romantics

If you got mostly ‘E’ answers, then you have the romantic body type.

Your body is made up of soft and rounded lines, and you’re probably on the short side. Some of your features may seem wide, but because they’re short and rounded, they don’t have a lot of visual weight. If you work out a lot your muscles are softly defined rather than quite sharp. When you gain weight your body becomes very rounded and soft, however you will still maintain a softly defined figure if you’re an hourglass shape.

If you got mostly ‘D’ answers, or a combination of ‘E’ and ‘D’ with up to 4 ‘A’ + ‘B’ answers in body or facial bones, then you have the theatrical romantic body type.

Your body is made up of soft and rounded lines, however you also have some added angularity in your bone structure or facial features. You also tend to be more narrow than the romantic. If you work out a lot your muscles are softly defined rather than quite sharp. When you gain weight your body becomes very rounded and soft, however you will still maintain a defined figure if you’re an hourglass shape.

Dramatics

If you got mostly ‘A’ answers, then you have the dramatic body type.

Your body is made up of long and sharply angular lines, however you still tend to be on the narrow side. You’re probably also on the tall side. If you work out a lot your muscles are defined but add to your visual length rather than widening out your figure. When you gain weight your body still keeps a rather straight silhouette, rather than becoming extremely curved.

If you got mostly ‘A’ answers, plus some ‘D’ or ‘E’ answers in flesh or facial features, then you have the soft dramatic body type.

Your body is made up of long and sharply rounded lines, however you have some added softness in your flesh or facial features. You’re also probably on the tall side. If you work out a lot your muscles may be more softly defined than the dramatic’s, as you have some softness in your flesh. When you gain weight it tends to collect most at your softest features.

Classics

If you got mostly ‘C’ answers, then you have the classic body type.

Your body is quite evenly proportioned, and you’re probably of average height. It’s hard to say if any of your features are soft and round, or sharp and angular, since they’re such an even blend. If you work out a lot your muscles tend to add to your balanced look, rather than changing it. When you gain weight you still maintain your balanced look, neither very rounded nor very straight. A blend between the two.

If you got mostly ‘C’ answers, with several ‘D’ or ‘E’ answers, then you have the soft classic body type.

Your body is quite evenly proportioned, however you have some added softness, probably in your flesh or facial features. You look to be of average height or a bit short. If you work out a lot your muscles may be softly defined, however your body still looks quite balanced. When you gain weight your body tends to become rounder and quite soft.

If you got mostly ‘C’ answers, with several ‘A’ or ‘B’ answers, then you have the dramatic classic body type.

Your body is quite evenly proportioned proportioned, but you have some added angularity, probably in your bone structure or facial bones. You’re probably of average height or a bit tall. If you work out a lot your muscles tend to add to your balanced look, rather than changing it. When you gain weight you also maintain your balanced look, neither very rounded nor very straight. A blend between the two.

Naturals

If you got mostly ‘B’ answers, then you have the natural body type.

Your body is made of beveled angles and has a wide bone structure. You’re probably of average height or slightly tall, however you don’t look as long as the dramatic. You gain muscle easily, and if you work out a lot your muscles add to your broadness and can be quite defined. When you gain weight your body tends to stick to a square-ish shape.

If you got mostly ‘B’ answers, with several ‘D’ or ‘E’ answers, then you have the soft natural body type.

Your body is made of beveled angles and has a wide bone structure, however you have some added softness, probably in your flesh or facial features. You’re probably slightly short or of average height. You gain muscle easily when working out, however it tends to be more softly defined than with the natural. When you gain weight you tend to collect it in the parts of your flesh that are softest, which can lead to a very rounded figure.

If you got mostly ‘B’ answers, with several ‘A’ answers, then you have the flamboyant natural body type.

Your body is made of beveled angles and has a wide bone structure, however you have some added length and sharpness. You’re probably quite tall, or look tall. You gain muscle easily when working out, however it can be wide and defined, or long and straight depending on where your sharper angularity comes from. When you gain weight your body tends to maintain a straight shape, like a rectangle or square.

Gamines

(The name comes from a French word, so it’s masculine when spelled as ‘gamin’ and feminine when spelled as ‘gamine’, however I’ll be treating the word gamine as if it was already gender neutral.)

If you got an even mixture of ‘A’ + ‘B’ answers and ‘D’ + ‘E’ answers, then you have the gamine body type.

You have a mixture of structured and soft answers across your bone structure, flesh, facial bones, and facial features, which makes it difficult to say exactly where each answer will fall. I also can’t say exactly how muscle or weight gain will happen to you, as it’s quite difficult to make generalizations about gamines.

If you got a mixture of answers, with more ‘D’ + ‘E’ answers than ‘A’ + ‘B’, then you have the soft gamine body type.

You have a mixture of structured and soft answers across your bone structure, flesh, facial bones, and facial features, however you have some added softness (probably in your flesh or facial features). If you have softer flesh then your muscles will become softly defined from working out, and your figure will become rounded from weight gain.

If you got a mixture of answers, with more ‘A’ + ‘B’ answers than ‘D’ + ’E’, then you have the flamboyant gamine body type.

You have a mixture of structured and soft answers across your bone structure, flesh, facial bones, and facial features, however you have some added angularity (probably in your flesh or facial features). If you have more structured flesh then you’ll probably gain muscle easily from working out, and it will add to your angular silhouette. Weight gain will also maintain a straighter figure, unless you have soft answers in your flesh.

  1. hi rebekah! i was wondering if you could help me find my body type! i’ve taken the test a few different times on different websites and i’ve always gotten different answers. also i’m pretty skinny, which has skewed some of my results, i think.

  2. Well if I take the original test, I am almost evenly split between D and C responses, with a D body and a C face. With the newer test I appear to be a soft classic. I am 5’6 and a half, 41″ shoulders, 38″ bust, 29″ waist, and 42″ hips. I don’t think I’m even enough to be a classic, and yet the internet informs me that I’m also too tall to be a theatrical romantic. So basically I don’t think I have a Kibbe body type lmao.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Marissa! Your results do seem to lean towards being a soft dramatic. Keep in mind that it’s about the overall vibe that the body has, it’s alright to have a couple of outlying features. I suggest taking a look at soft dramatic lines, and if you like the way you look, then wear them. If not, you may want to check out flamboyant gamine lines.

  5. Hi Rebekah,
I’m a little confused with my “mostly As & Bs, with some Cs&Ds” result. The closest seems to be “flamboyant gamine,” except that says “Ds and Es” rather than Cs. Plus, I hesitate to classify myself as gamine, since I am quite tall and look pretty tall without a reference. My scores were as follow:

    BDCAABAB
    ACB
    DEA
    BAB

I look forward to hearing your take on it! Thanks!

      1. Greetings! I also need help figuring out my results. I am overweight currently and factoring in that everyone says I look theatrical romantic however, my answers never add up to TR. I use a current photo as well and an older photo at a less weight for reference. My body even very underweight was “curvy” at just about 120# I wore women’s 9 jeans because my hips had curves, over weight my bra size is UK36J under weight it was UK34F/G. My kibbe answers are-
        A-3. B-4. C-2. D-3. E-4

      2. Hmm your answers seem to indicate that you’re a gamine, since they’re mixed but still balanced within that mixture, but based on your description you do sound more like a theatrical romantic or soft dramatic.

I recommend taking a look at the lines of those three body types and try them out for yourself, to see which ones you feel best in. Here’s the link to my G Pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.ca/cozyrebekah/gamine-kibbe-body-types-inspiration/

      1. Hello Rebekah!
I’m writing to you in hopes that you’d help me determine my body type. I’ve taken several tests, and I find yours to be the best, because you include the individual parts of our bodies. I have a hard time believing that I’m a R/TR because I’m quite tall (175), and appear moderate, I’m not ‘shapely’ because I have quite wide ribcage, and wide, square-ish hips. Here are my results:
        BS: C E E B E C E B
        FB: E C D
        BF: B E E
        FF: D E C
I’m aware that the results are mostly E, however I don’t see the romantic type in the mirror (could it be because of the excess fat/being overweight?). Maybe you’ll see something I don’t c:

I hope you have a fantastic day! Thank you for your help c:

      2. Thank you, Frogg! Based on your description of yourself, you sound like you might actually be a soft natural or a soft classic, even though your results lean more towards being a theatrical romantic. My suggestion is to try out those three sets of lines and see which one you prefer, because sometimes it just takes looking at our bodies in the lines of different body types to see what looks best.

      4. Tbh, sometimes I do mix styles when I’m getting dressed! I’m a soft gamine, but even though I’m short (5’2″) I have a long vertical line (people guess my height at 5’5″ to 5’8″ based on photos of myself) and I have really long arms and legs, so sometimes I throw in some more flamboyant gamine pieces.

I hope you have a great day too! ❤

      6. Yep! I find that staying within the same family of body types works pretty well, or going with a similar body type. So, for example, a dramatic can borrow from soft dramatic and flamboyant natural lines pretty easily, since they share similarities. Soft gamines can borrow from theatrical romantic and gamine or flamboyant gamine lines too, to create different effects.

  19. Hi Rebekah ! It’s not the first time I take this test, but the first time on your website. I’ve always been confused by it… I used to think I was a gamine or flamboyant gamine, since i’m really short (5.09 ft), but I noticed that I don’t look that small, since my head is proportionate to my body.

Also, there’s some answers for which i had a hard time answering, maybe because i’m french and don’t manage all the words perfectly but mainly because I sometimes hesitated between two answers…
Anyway, here are the results I finally found :

    Bone structure : C, B, A, C, C, C, C, A
    Facial bones : C, A, D
    Flesh of the body : D, B, C
    Facial features : C, C, B

According to my answers, I’m a classic type, with nine C, two D, three A and three B. I guess I could be a classic or dramatic classic… Is it possible, even with my height ?

    1. Thanks for commenting, Justine! Based on your results, you do seem to be a dramatic classic. I know that there’s division in the Kibbe community of how height affects body type, but I’m on the side of it not being a restriction to what type you can be, so I’d say that yes, you can be a dramatic classic! 23. Hi Rebekah,
I will admit that I found this analysis to be anything but straightforward, so I could use some help interpreting my results. Here’s what I have, although I was unsure about the accuracy of many of my answers.

    Bone structure: C B D C C E B B
    Facial Bones: C B D
    Flesh: B E E

    Overall, here are my totals:
    A: 0
    B: 6
    C: 5
    D: 3
    E: 3

A lot of my answers were split between B and C and I ended up just picking one or the other for the sake of simplicity, so I’m not sure if I should fall more into the Natural or the Classic category.

Any help in deciphering my mess of letters would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Snow! Overall, I’d say that you’re a dramatic classic, since your softer answers don’t completely balance out with your more structured answers. So if you subtract your D+E answers (0 + 3 = 3) from your A+B answers (5 + 1 = 6) you’re still left with 3 answers leaning towards the dramatic side of classic. It looks like I fall into Soft Natural but I’m unsure about some of my answers. My eyes are round but small, and I’m not very sure of my body flesh because I’m naturally a bit muscle-y but it comes across more round than long/straight. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

  28. Hi!
I am between soft classic and romantic
    What’s your take on it?

    Here’s my result:

    5E 1C
    2C 1E

Hope it makes sense. Thank you!

  29. Hi
I get 7 C, 5 A, 1 B, 4 E. I’m 5′ 1″ and my face and top half is quite Yang but my bottom half quite Yin. Anything ruffled, fussy, draped, stiff or very bold overpowers me. I gravitate towards fairly classic understated looks but they can look too dated and boring and I’m not sure whether classic is right.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Lynn! Based on your results and your description of yourself, I’m leaning towards you being a dramatic classic. 30. Hi Rebekah!
Thank you for this really cool test!
I’m a bit lost in the results, though. I’d say I get either Gamine or Soft Natural, can you help me?
My results are: BDABDDDE – BAB – EBE – ABD
    That’s 3 As, 6 Bs, 5 Ds and 3 Es.
I don’t know if it may help but I’m thin in the torso with large breasts and large hips…
    Thank you !

    1. Thanks for commenting, Cuillere! Based on your results, I’m leaning towards you being a soft natural, since you have B answers as your dominant answers, with a lot of added D and E answers. 33. Hi Rebekah! I’ve taken the quiz at The Concept Wardrobe that said I was a soft gamine. Now I may be a flamboyant gamine? I’m still new to this, so I’m unsure what these results mean. Could you help me? Thank you!

    1. Thanks for commenting, Lillian! It does seem to be that these results indicate that you’re a flamboyant gamine. Since they’re in the same family of body types, I recommend taking a look at both sets of lines and seeing which one you feel more comfortable with.

  34. Hello, I just did the body types test and I’m a bit confused about mine.. I thought a was a soft dramatic BEFORE the test but now I’m identified as theatrical romantic! I’d appreciate you help on this ❤
    My answers were:
    C C B C D D D D D C C A D D D
I am 1,75m tall and tends to gain weight on my upper arms and thighs. Soft lips, straight-not so small nose and quite elongated and on the bigger size eyes. Long legs and arms, quite big hands and feet, but still on the delicate side.. I'M CONFUSED lol
    Thanks!

    1. Thanks for commenting, Silvia! Your results do point to you being a theatrical romantic, but I can understand the confusion, as soft dramatics and theatrical romantics do have similarity to them. I think a good way to test to see which one you are is to see how small or large you need details to be. Theatrical romantics look their best with smaller details and shapes, and soft dramatics look their best with large details and shapes.

    Facial bones: 2B, 1E
    Flesh: 1A, 1B, 1D
    Facial features: 1C, 2D
It’s such a mixture but with mostly D:s. I feel like I don’t have the “sharpness” to be a Theatrical Romantic though and my face looks more like Soft Dramatic to me. My height is 5’2

    1. Hi Rebekah,
I had mostly A’s but I’ve been told by many people I have soft features. I’m 1.56 m tall but everyone thinks I’m much taller. I weigh just under 50 kg and tend to tone easily. My measurements are 82 cm – 62 cm – 88.5 cm. My results were
      Bone structure: 3A 1B 4C
      Facial bones: 3A
      Flesh: 2A 1C
      Facial features: 1B 1C 1D

  38. Hey, I come from tiffanyferg’s video about kibbe’s body type and I was curious about mine but I’m super confused.
    My answers are
    1)BEBCAAEE
    2)ECE
    3)BEEEEE
My confusion stems from the fact that in theory I should be “romantic” but I’m overweight, 102kg, so I think most of the Es come from that.
Oh, and also because I’m kind of tall and I have little to no chest.
The only ones I’m sure about are the “flesh of the body” ones, I think.
Anyways sorry for the long explanation.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Nadia! And you don’t have to apologize for the long explanation, as extra details do help me figure out your body type more easily.

Since you do have kind of a mixture of results, I am leaning more towards you being a soft gamine, rather than a romantic. I recommend taking a look at soft gamine lines and seeing if you like them. Here’s the link to my SG Pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.ca/cozyrebekah/soft-gamine-kibbe-body-types-inspiration/

  39. Hi Rebekah! I’m super confused, and I was hoping you could help me whenever you have a chance. I’m 170cms (5’7”), but I can’t seem to find my type. I’d guess it’s somewhere between, SD, FN, SF and maybe FG, but I can’t be sure.

From the original test my results were:
    Bone Structure – B B A B
    Flesh – D B D A B
    Facial Features – A B A A C D

From the updated (2020) test I got:
    Bone Structure of the Body – B B A A B A D A
    Facial Bones – B B A
    Flesh of the body – B D D
    Facial Features – D D D

I’m sorry but this is so hard. If extra details help, legs are stupid long and even though I’m heavier than I’ve ever been at 63Kg (138lbs), my waist is still very small compared to the rest of my body. However, I have very narrow hips in comparison to my shoulders, which are wider, giving me a slight T silhouette. i hope that helps, and I really appreciate your help.

  42. Hi Rebekah! Glad we have you as a resource to figure this out! It’s kind of difficult when the answers aren’t straight forward. Would you mind letting me know what you think I am?

    Bone Structure: ACACAACB
    Facial Bone: ACA
    Flesh: DDE
    Facial Features: CCD

For some context, I am 5’9″ have thin and long bone structure, have a lot of soft flesh especially on thighs and upper arms (very hard to get muscle even from working out really hard), and have a prominent waistline (hourglass shape) regardless of my weight.

Thank you so much for your help!!

  43. Hi Rebekah!

Sorry if I end up posting twice I think I got an error the first time I posted this comment. Would you mind helping me figure out which type I am? My answers were:

    Bone Structure: ACACAACB
    Facial Bone:ACA
    Flesh: DDE
    Facial Features: CCD

For reference I am 5’9″, have long narrow limbs/feet/hands but have soft flesh (especially around thighs/upper arms) and find it very hard to gain muscle. I also have a prominent waist (hourglass figure) regardless of my weight. Hope my answers make sense. It’s hard sometimes knowing how to objectively look at your own features!

    Thank you!!!

    Facial Bones: 1B, 2E
    Flesh: 1D, 2E
    Facial Features: 2D, 1E

I read that having mostly “E” answers indicates the romantic type… but when I look in the mirror I still see a prominent skeleton. My most defined feature might be my shoulders and I’m quite fleshy otherwise. Would soft natural be more accurate? I am 5’4″ if that helps. Thank you!

  47. Hi Rebekah,
I seem to be stuck between 2 ID’s – I can’t tell if I’m a large soft gamine or a smallish soft dramatic? I’m 5’5″ and 145lbs. Part of the confusion is because I have a small head with very delicate, childlike facial features. IRL example: I’m a 30 year old woman and I still get carded when I go to see R rated movies. I’ve been described as cute, adorable and fragile, not hot or beautiful. However my body is certainly womanly. It’s a confusing combination. Any clarity you could give would be very much appreciated!
    My answers are:
    1A 2D 3A 4A 5A 6A 7E 8B/E (long, wide, and rounded hips)
    9D 10D/E (wide/upturned/pointed nose base, narrow/low nasal bridge) 11E
12E 13E 14D/E (wide at the top of the thigh, slender at the bottom of the thigh)
15E 16A/E (thin angular top lip, full rounded lower lip) 17E
    Thank you in advance!

Not sure how to judge width and tautness while out of shape! 😉 maybe you can help me out- I am 5’7, 165lb right now, would call body a “rectangle” with an oval face and smallish head, and kind if small facial features. Here are the results as of today 😀

  50. Hi Rebekah! Thanks so much for sharing, this is great! I’ve been stuck on my own Kibbe for a while. Every time I take the test I get mostly D answers with equal C and E. I know that a D + E combo is TR, but what about when I’m equal parts E and C? With your test I have 9 Ds, 4 Cs, and 4 Es.

I’d love your input! Thanks again!
