Which Body Type do you Have?

While I can see trends in body types based on people asking for help with their results in my comments section, and the results of people who I’ve worked with in consultations, I’m interested in seeing what the trends are for the body types of my readers, so I decided to make a poll!

If you’re unsure which body type you have, or have never heard of the Kibbe body types before, then please try taking my 2020 version of the body type test.

Thank you for participating in this poll! It helps me better understand my audience.

  3. Hmm, this test led me in a different direction that many do! This one typed me as a Soft Gamine, which traditionally I don’t feel particularly suits… I am 5’5, which is usually ruled out on height! I’ve been typed before as Dramatic Classic and Flamboyant Gamine, but the straight waist lines and pencil skirts recommended for those types look awful on my wide hips. (I have a 28” waist vs a 39” hip and a 37” bust… pear shaped for sure!) I know for sure I have a mix of qualities – I think fairly high-contrast. I have a long, sharp nose but a soft jawline; very large feet and hands for my height (size 10.5 feet and I can play an octave on piano). So gamine has always fit better, but there’s not much room for pear-shapes in those descriptions especially! And I doubt I am a Romantic – none of those styles look remotely okay on me.

    1. Oh wow, that’s really interesting to hear! In Kibbe’s book, 5’5 is pretty much the cutoff point of Soft Gamines, so if you like Soft Gamine lines, then I recommend trying them out anyways. Mixing SG and FG lines might also be an option, for example wearing SG clothing and makeup, but then going for more FG accessories and hairstyles.

  4. i got 1c,2b,3d,4c and 5d,6d,7d,8d,9d, and 10c,11c,12a,13c,14e,15d,16b. I’m a bit confused, but maybe a theatrical romantic? I would say my body flesh is definetly consistent with romantic, but with classic features in the face and mixed bone structure ??
